TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade went live in March 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

His background is relevant. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.

The Software

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.

Pair that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Regulation

Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with Equinix connectivity. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your assessment.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense is your call.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you commit.
